This piece embraces the principle of Wabi-Sabi.  Wabi-sabi refers to an awareness of the transient nature of earthly things and a corresponding pleasure in the things that bear the mark of this impermanence.

The two porcelain doll heads have been painted with several layers of acrylic paint and sealed.  They are permanently affixed to a piece of weathered wood and adorned with rocks. a couple of tree branches, a piece of wire and citrine crystal, which is often associated with abundance, prosperity and success.  Affixed to the block of wood is a “message” from a tea bag, a quote by Vincent Van Gogh “If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” 

The artist has left the “crown” “nest” empty for you to add what calls to you.  

A message from The Sages:

“Within the earth lies our power to do great things for Mother Earth and her inhabitants.  Look to the sky, we can be found.  Look to the ground, we can be found.  Find us in all things.  May you find peace in the beauty of our imperfections.”
