Nina Collosi-Martinez

Messy things, the beautifully flawed and imperfect, scratches and layers of paint, and inelegant markings call to me.  The process is cathartic, sometimes surprising me with what appears on the canvas.

Woman’s faces intrigue me: the stories expressed in their eyes, the hints of their past, their struggles and heartaches.  Is she hearing the call to leave her mundane world behind in search of something more profound? Can she summon the courage and strength to transform?  Will she return to share the elixir of her wisdom?  It is the heroine’s soul-awakening journey.

About me: Lover of nature, inspiring conversations and earl grey tea.

Carol Ligon Photo

CAROL LIGON

Carol N. Ligon, Expressionist Artist, displays the allure and joy of painting, as portrait of her artistry. She is an ARTIST, Designer, and Instructor, whose repertoire of ideas, expressive style and techniques, are embodied in her vividly eye-catching paintings. She is recognized for her uniqueness and astute use of brilliant arrangements of color, patterns and textures.

While creating her own artistic design in each painting, Carol defines her subject and paints, knowing that each brushstroke will determine her next direction on the canvas. This ability comes from within and takes time, discovery, and practice to produce unique paintings. Combining ART with life experiences, recognizing the beauty of color, the bits and pieces of life, or recalling a memory, is always captured in her paintings.

Carol’s ‘OIL Expressions’ are one-of-a-kind created and transformed through brush strokes painted on each canvas. She embraces a richer and deeper lifestyle, in her ARTISTIC EXPRESSIONS, which allows— “the thread of creativity to intertwine through all aspects of her life.”

Marsha Mees

I embrace this quote by Albert Einstein “I have no special talents. I am only persistently curious.” I am eclectic and this carries through in the various art mediums I work in, mixed media, sculpting, jewelry, found object art and photography. When it comes to my art, it took me awhile to realize that my natural style of art making is expressive and intuitive. I don’t follow the rules. I color outside the lines. I embrace the philosophy of Wabi Sabi, finding the beauty in what is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. When people look at my art, I hope it evokes an emotion. I love to scour flea markets, estate sales, and have been known to pick up objects on the roadway, always looking for objects to use in my creations. I am also a certified Intentional Creativity Teacher and Yoga Nidra Facilitator. Creativity is empowering. Creativity is healing.

julia ann Offord

I am a versatile watercolor artist passionate about capturing the beauty of landscapes and seascapes, as well as exploring abstract and post-impressionist styles. Inspired by the natural world, my work reflects the serene tranquility of scenic vistas and the dynamic energy of coastal scenes. As an intuitive painter, I imbue my creations with emotion and spontaneity, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Drawing from both imagination and visual references, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and connection with the viewer through my vibrant and expressive artwork.
