Banner 1 - "Bee Kind" - 1st Street
What could be more amazing than Bees? We could all learn a lot from a bee. Encouraging everyone to be kind to one another this summer and enjoy the world around them!

Banner 2 - "Peacock Colors" - 1st & Chestnut Streets
Inspired by a photo of the peacock at the Historical Society.

Banner 3 - "Within Arm's Reach" - 1st Street
Just outside my neighborhood are rolling hills and olive groves that often catch my eye. One day, I pulled over to take in the view and photograph the landscape. As I turned my body to get back in the car, there was a single olive tree, standing alone, right next to me. The tree was loaded with fruit, the branches almost groaning under the weight of it all. I had been so focused on the distant beauty that I almost missed the splendor right next to me. This piece reflects that realization: That simple abundance is often within arm's reach.

Banner 4 - "Crush Tyranny" - 1st Street
To quote Charles-Louis de Secondat: "There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice."

Banner 5 - "Forever Fated" - 1st Street
My Grandmother passed away recently. She had two koi fish that she loved dearly. When the time came that she couldn't take care of them anymore, they were given to a family friend. These two were never separated. Destined to stay together in this life. They will forever hold a place in my heart, just like my Grandmother. I dedicate this painting to her.

Banner 6 - "Diversity, Equity & Inclusion" - 1st and Chestnut Streets
Everyone deserves to feel like they belong, especially where they live. And to feel like the community they live in has their back, especially with what is going on in the world.

Banner 7 - "The Lure of the Deep" - 1st and Chestnut Streets
This captivating piece plunges into a fantastical deep sea, where the serene mermaid takes an improbable swing from the luminous lure of a formidable anglerfish, creating a striking contrast between beauty and the bizarre.

Banner 8 - "Untitled" - 1st and Chestnut Streets

Banner 9 - "Embraced by Light" - 1st Street
Being embraced by light signifies being enveloped with hope, beauty and purpose. As one walks in purpose, we spread the light of hope and love to others.

Banner 10 - "Field of Faith" - 1st Street
I painted this piece as a reminder of how good God is. He is with us in the valleys and on the mountain tops. All you need is FAITH! Faith as small as a mustard seed! Matthew 17:20 says, "He replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,' Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Banner 11 - "Bacchus" - Chestnut Street

Banner 12 - "Gotta Love Diversity" - Oak Street
Love comes in all shapes and sizes. We love who we love and whoever we love, well, let's just say that it was meant to be. We can't let the recent attacks on diversity change what we know to be true. Every life has value, and everyone deserves to be loved.

Banner 13 - "Marsh Creek in the Spring" - Oak Street

Banner 14 - "Blossoming" - Oak Street
In high school, I developed an interest in Japanese culture and created several large colored pencil drawings in art class. After completing the artwork, I brought my art home. My mother promptly had my art professionally framed and hung on the walls of our house. This action made me realize that my art was valued and could bring happiness. Thank you Mom, for instilling a sense of self-worth and confidence in my abilities and creativity. Thank you!

Banner 15 - "Keep Growing" - Oak Street
This piece draws inspiration from spring and my father's quiet commitment to nurturing his home garden. The fruits and blossoms, gathered from and inspired by this space, capture more than seasonal growth; they reflect years of care, routine, and patience. Watching the garden transform each year has become something I deeply look forward to. It's taught me that some of the most meaningful things in life take time, care and steady effort. I strive to carry that same presence and intention int o my art, drawing upon the strength my father brings to everything he does.

Banner 16 - "Joy at Play" - Oak Street
Children are honestly direct, full of wonder, energetic, happy, immensely aware of surroundings, full of love and laughter and hugs.

Banner 17 - "Spirit of Aloha" - 1st and Oak Streets
This painting was inspired by Aloha, especially on the island of Kauai where my partner's grandfather was born. We hope to continue sharing the spirit of Aloha with our son and our community. I used reference photos from a trip I took to the island in 2018.

Banner 18 - "Great Blue" - 1st Street
Birds have lots of character. The inspiration was from a photo in snapped of a heron in Pacific Grove. I plan on painting more birds.

Banner 19 - "Seasons of Beauty" - 1st Street

Banner 20 - "Going Home" - 1st Street
The promise of Spring and the life that it brings, gives me hope each year. The explosion of beautiful colors in the flowers and the fragrant blossoms that will become delicious fruit, remind me that life goes on, even after the darkest, coldest winter. This last winter was a dark one for me..., but then came the promise of new life in Spring, New Hope in the One who brings it.

Banner 21 - "Waitin' for Rain" - 1st Street
I was inspired by the upcoming exhibit at Big Break Visitor Center. Thank you to Art Guild of the Delta and everyone involved, who provide so many Artists with so many opportunities to engage with the communities around Brentwood.

Banner 22 - "Mother and Child" - 1st and Oak Streets
Giraffes are beautiful creatures. Known for their long necks, these gently giants are the world's tallest living land animals. Also, giraffes are plant eaters. Their favorite food is the Acacia tree.

Banner 23 - "Gravitationally Bound" - 1st Street
I wanted to create another celestial representation this year, so I took inspiration from Binary Star Systems. When these occur a pair of stars orbit each other, constantly in a dance. They give and take and share down to the molecular level as they spin, which can bring about an evolution, singular stars are incapable of.

Banner 24 - "Peachy Breeze" - 1st Street
Early summer makes me think of fresh, juicy fruit ready to pick! I wanted soft, peachy pinks to contrast over a bright blue background and to make this feel as if you're lying down under a peach tree. Refreshing, warm, bright, fun vibes!

Banner 25 - "Adulting is Hard" - Oak Street
Anyone who said being an adult was easy or grand hasn't grown up yet! What with all the challenges due to increased responsibilities, financial pressures, and societal expectations it requires: managing a household, paying bills, balancing work and personal life, and navigating complex relationships, all while making significant life decisions. So, at the end of the day it's comforting to know a glass of red wine awaits me. That first sip seems to wash away the cares of the day. The second sip melts the pressure that had build up in my shoulders. The last sip makes me feel so happy to be alove and able to afford a really good bottle of wine! So CHEERS to adulting!

Banner 26 - "Farmer's Market Produce" - 1st and Oak Streets
I wanted to paint something that represents our sweet little town, Brentwood. I love how the Farmer's Market brings people together.

Banner 27 - "The Colors of Joy" - 1st and Oak Streets
As a graphic artist, quiltmaker and nature lover, I delight in drawing my creative inspiration from the great outdoors. This year my banner brings together a rugged tree full of vivid swirling leaves, set against the vibrant colors of our beautiful California sunrises and sunsets.

Banner 28 - "Pink Lillies" - Oak Street
Lillies are one of my favorite flowers!

Banner 29 - "King of the Jungle" - Oak Street
Started out with intention to paint Liberty Lions, but decided to paint the King of the Jungle.

Banner 30 - "Stay Chill" - Oak Street
With summer around the corner, I was inspired to title my art banner "Stay chill". Each smiley face reflects a unique part of who I am. The Cowgirl smiley represents my country loving side and love for the outdoors. The smiley with the bow symbolizes my passion for cheerleading. The lightening bolt eyed smiley, represents my favorite Nirvana shirts which inspre my style. And finally, the sunglasses smiley captures my excitement for the sunny, carefree days of summer. This painting is a fun expression of all the things that make me ME - all wrapped up in a colorful summer vibe.

Banner 31 - "Gaia Awakens" - Oak Street
Inspired by Mother Nature, Gaia, and Fantasia's spring sprite, Gaia Awakens celebrates the divine spirit of nature in bloom. Her leafy hair bursts with flowers, symbolizing life's renewal. Grounded in earth, she radiates peace, fertility, and harmony, an eternal reminder of nature's power to heal and transform.

Banner 32 - "Dancing with the Sea" - Oak Street

Banner 33 - "Cruising the Coast" - Oak Street
I believe every Californian has memories attached to the sweet inner feeling one gets when cruising the coast of Northern California. The natural landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. Reflecting in my painting is a memory of cruising the coast with my dad in his truck.

Banner 34 - "Untitled" - Oak Street
I wanted this banner to celebrate the essential role of farm workers in shaping and sustaining Brentwood. The image shows several harvesters with Mt. Diablo in the background. A laborer stands at the center of the composition—literally and symbolically—as the heart of this agricultural town. Rays of light reach out into the sky from behind the mountain, echoed by rows of crops extending out from behind the central figure. These radiating patterns suggest divinity, both of the land and of the farm workers themselves. They are neighbors, citizens, and vital contributors to the community's daily life and future.

Banner 35 - "She Guards the Maize" - Oak Street
Corn is universal. Corn feeds people all over the world with different languages, cultures, religions and skin colors. As a corn lover from childhood summers, I feel connected to Brentwood its delicious corn and kindred spirits around the world who share my love. In this banner, I pay tribute to the beauty of summer corn/maize and the lady who watches over and guards the fields.

Banner 36 - "Frazier Falls" - Oak Street
Frazier Falls is a beautiful waterfall in the Northern Sierras near where my family goes camping every year. I wanted to evoke some of that peace and serenity into the banner, from the mountains into our busy lives.
