BANNER UP! 2026
Art Guild of the Delta (AGD) is proud to announce the 10th anniversary of Banner Up!, a community art program returning in summer 2026. This milestone year celebrates a decade of creativity, collaboration, and public art in downtown Brentwood and City Park.
Banner Up! invites local artists of all levels to participate by painting original 2’ x 4’ banners that will be displayed on light poles throughout downtown Brentwood and City Park during July and August. The program transforms the city into an outdoor gallery, showcasing the vibrant talent and artistic expression of the community.
AGD is honored to receive continued support from the City of Brentwood through the City of Brentwood’s Arts Commission, and through the City’s Public Art Fund. This funding plays a vital role in sustaining visual arts programming that fosters creative expression, supports local artists, and strengthens the cultural fabric of the city.
Every two years, the program partners with a local benefactor, and this year, AGD is excited to collaborate with Harvest Time as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. In recognition of this milestone, participating artists are asked to specifically explore themes inspired by Brentwood’s rich agricultural heritage.
A limited number of 60 banners will be available to artists on a first-come, first-served basis. Banners can be picked up on Friday & Saturday, May 8 & 9 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. – 1p.m. at the Downtown Brentwood Coalition building, located at 648 Second St., Brentwood. There is no cost to participate.
Artists are asked to thoughtfully consider their time and theme, as completed banners must be returned by June 20 in preparation for installation.
